Changes to Child Vaccines

24 June 2025

What’s Changing and Why It Matters

Starting 1st July 2025, the UK’s childhood immunisation schedule will undergo important updates. These changes have been recommended by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) to improve protection against infectious diseases and reflect the latest scientific evidence.

The majority of these changes only effect children born on or after 1st July 2024 as a parent or carer, it’s important to understand what these changes mean for your child.

There may be changes to your childs schedule if they are behind with their vaccinations or you have moved from abroad. The nurse will always advise you on the correct vaccine schedule for your child.
